Working on something for the carving club. Gonna mount 6 hand carved pumpkins in various stages from block to carved, as an example project for new folks when they come to meetings and want something to try their hand at. It'll be pretty neat. I want to get a half dozen or so little projects like this done to help folks learn various projects. It usually takes a 'win' for folks to get hooked. One good project accomplished and thats the gateway drug. Soon thereafter they're arguing online with strangers about sharpening angles and diamond emulsion compounds, while their spouses questions why they found woodchips in the bed. #woodcarving #whittling #woodcarver #carving #woodart

What carving knife should I get? I get that question 2-3 times a day, every single day. There are MANY great knife brands, but the major pitfall to avoid are those kits of knives on Amazon.
